Per Public Works: Staff will make a note of this corridor as a potential location to review red light running crashes.

Please review accidents on raleigh blvd near Crabtree and Barksdale as well. Many drivers disregard the turn lane markings onto Barksdale and there have been several accidents in the past 6 months or so. This is a major concern due to the high numbers of pedestrians around the greenway. In addition, many people cross raleigh near the food lion, and I often worry about their safety due to the high speeds of the traffic flow there.

The pedestrian situation at the food lion is even more dangerous now that the number 3 bus only stops on the food lion side of the road. Almost everyone who gets off at that mid-block stop has to cross Raleigh Blvd on foot with no crosswalk or signal or anything.

Is there an update on this issue?

Per Public Works: We are looking to add crosswalk improvements at Glascock/Raleigh and we are also working with NC Department of Transportation on cleaning up some of the confusion at Raleigh/Barksdale.
