Description
Around 9:30am this morning, a City Parks pumper truck almost caused a pile-up in the left east-bound lane of Western Blvd. The truck was driving in the left lane at under 5mph to spray plants in the median. Coming around the curve at 45mph, there was no warning and no way to avoid the truck. At least four drivers (me included) had to SLAM on our brakes (no way to move over, since there was also traffic in the right lane). The truck turned left onto Boylan, made a 3-point turn and then went back down Western.
Please see that safer methods are used to maintain median shrubs in the future. This is a very dangerous accident waiting to happen.
