The Town desperately needs to establish an impound lot for towed vehicles. The policy of towing only in emergency situations because there is no proper facility to store vehicles does not serve the public well.

This will be referred to the Police Department.

I specifically spoke with an officer - not a CSO - on Friday June 22, 2013 at approx. 4PM regarding this vehicle. I was told I could "call dispatch and wait for someone to respond." Are you kidding me? Not only has this vehicle been parked in the same spot since then, it still hasn't received another ticket since that day. Why doesn't the TON tow it? Ridiculous. Off island contractors consider your parking tickets a cheap rate for long term parking. Great job TON! Thanks.

Regarding the DPW Admin referring this issue to the Police Department means they will do nothing. I've reported this issue twice to officers and went to the Police Dept to file a formal complaint.

This is a flagrant disregard of posted parking rules. I asked a police officer specifically about this vehicle Friday June 21, 2013 at approximately 4PM, who was ill-concerned, at best. He said nothing more than "yeah, report it to dispatch. You can wait for someone to respond." This van has been there over a month and it's been almost three weeks since this vehicle was last ticketed!!! Tow it. What's your problem TON!?
