Description

Today as Tech let out classes around 330pm, 2 students tandem-rode /wobbled the same Bird or Lime scooter across the intersection of 49th and Broadway. This is incredibly dangerous - no helmets, overloading the vehicle, wobbling in heavy traffic. Please post officer to at least hand out "educational" warning tickets to kids riding these in dangerous ways. If they had fallen, they would have not only injured themselves but also caused a collision with cars behind/beside trying not to run them over. Aren't minors required to wear helmets even on leg-powered bikes? I see unsafe e-scooter use by juveniles on streets and sidewalks every single day near tech, the YMCA, and downtown near FO Plaza.
