  Absolutely nothing has been picked up in the graffiti is still there. Why is this request closed?

  I reopened this because the issue has not been addressed at all. In fact, I would say there was more dumped trash there, including shopping carts full of junk, when I drove by this morning.

  I have never been so disappointed with this system and the City. I won't be 'thanking' again unless I personally see that an issue has been addressed or the person who reports it comments that it was.

  Edge City, I know if and when these issues are addressed because unfortunately, I drive by the encampment, large amounts of trash and mattresses and wall-high graffiti every time I drop my son off at school. I know that many of the children who go to this school live in the neighborhood. They have to dodge and walk around all of this garbage and see the graffiti and encampment. I know homelessness is a huge issue in Oakland and I am not without compassion. But, an encampment should not be allowed to exist across the street from a school. Also, unfortunately, when the trash and graffiti is not cleaned up, people just feel it is their right to add more trash and graffiti. Until there are repercussions from the city such as lost licenses, impounded trucks or high fees or arrests, these situations continue.

  Tracey, I completely agree with you and support your diligence. It is disturbing to think that in any way, children are affected or become accustomed to this. Thank you for responding to my comment.
