The light should be left as it is on a timer. It is the only thing that calms traffic between Academy and Cardinal. Traffic moves much faster than the posted speed limit on Hackett Blvd., and without this light it would be almost impossible for pedestrians to cross the street, particularly during the morning and evening rush hours. It also provides some protection to school children who cross where Forest and Clayton intersect Hackett.

Thank you for your comment. It is our intention to replace a sensor that was damaged during a utility dig. Until that replacement is completed the signal will continue to cycle as it is today.

Please do not change the cycling on this light. It provides a small element of safety to pedestrians in the neighborhood and is a minor inconvenience for motorists.
