I think that disrupting a polling place is a criminal offense. You should have called the police. I saw some shady things happening there too.

As long as they are not personally soliciting you or restricting access to you within 50 feet of the entrance to the polling site (could be as little as 25 feet depending on the location) to you they are fine. If this is the field in the public park next to the Chavis Community Center, it's probably 500 feet or more to the dugout. Like the previous commenter, I agree to see people excited about voting. I don't care who want to vote for, it's nice to see people excited to express their right. Glad to see citizens trying to get others to get just as excited.

I was there and the music was loud to a point where the inside of the polling place was vibrating. This was like school in summertime, no class. It made me change my vote to the libertarian candidate at the last minute. It was very disruptive to people who were voting.

Did the city approve this event? Why were the speakers pointed at the community center? Do these people even care about the peoe who live nearby?

lol @ Charles' comment. Your vote obviously doesn't mean that much to you. Nonetheless, this shouldn't be about pollitics - if someone was unhappy about the noise, why not call the RPD to come check it out. That's part of their job. I am sure they were in the area often and didn't shut it down. Like the other 2 people who commented, I think it's great to see so many people excited to get people to vote since it really matters in NC.

By the gross overuse of the word excited, I suspect that Joanna, Bud and Jonathan are the same person.

Noise is noise. The bottom line is that regardless of one's purpose or belief, loud noise is damaging to to human beings AND it's against the law. Even if these folks support my god or support my candidate, they are in violation of human decency and City of Raleigh Noise Ordinances. Thanks RayRay.

I'm none of the aformentioned, but I also think it is great to see people excited about voting. Good for them!
