It's so exciting that we're finally getting our sidewalk and traffic calming, but I'm literally terrified that I'm going to be killed pulling into/out of my driveway during the construction. Is it possible that the speeding is even worse now with the road narrowed and construction barrels in place? Even the contractor doing the work, TA Loving, is worried about the safety of their workers on this project. According to TA Loving, they have tried to enlist the help of RPD without much luck. RPD will be increasing fines for speeding through the area while work is taking place but will not be increasing enforcement. On Friday I had to drive around the block twice before I could get an opening to back into my driveway. Sigh.

The Glascock Street Traffic Calming project construction is about to begin and the centerline was moved as part of that project.
