Description
The tree in the alley behind Fendall and near Norwood is dying and large limbs are falling. I requested by phone for someone to come and check it in January to see if the city was responsible for removal, or me. It is behind my property on the alley.

"City Code requires property owners and/or occupants to keep the public right of way area between the improved street or alley and their property line free of vegetation that would obstruct or impede or threaten the safe and orderly movement of persons or vehicles." The trees are not impeding traffic, unless they fall. These are trees that have been here years before I purchased the property in 2009. Addressing this issue now will be costly.
I have been advised that if the tree falls and damages someone else's property, I would NOT be liable as the trees are not on my property.
I do not want anyone to be hurt nor do I want my shed to be damaged as I have invested in having that shed renovated. That alley is used a lot as the First African Baptist Church parking lot is behind my property, where branches have fallen.
