It was a really bad idea to post that here like this. 1. It's an advertisement for all to come and get it, and probably not the owner. 2. maybe it's a 'suspicious package' that should not be touched by whoever might come out of curiosity. This should have been more discretely handled,, not that police are any more honest, but, somehow better handled than this. Think.
Hi neighbor! I do agree with you on the logic of posting this. I thought that maybe the police non-emergency number may be a better route, but wanted to see how the city may want to ask on this. I know that many homeless individuals tend to camp out on this side of the town green and that it was connected with that. I will keep this advice in mind as I believe it to be sound.
I have not seen the city mention this as acknowledged so maybe they may want to weigh in.
You posted it on Sunday, and there are no regular City employees on duty on Sunday,, and Monday morning,, this snowy Monday morning is a busy one,, and the item is probably not there,, so why should they take the time to reply now? I'd be amazed. The item looks to be in the middle of nothing but snow. It may belong to a homeless person,, but the quality of the bag, from here, looks better than what the homeless usually have.
