I love pot holes in my neighborhood! they slow people down

Hey, Chapin Spencer! Instead of posting this here, why don't you do your job as Public Works Director and tell your people about this pothole. I know this is the "new age" thing but you really shouldn't use an app to do YOUR job.

BTVFixer, I appreciate that Chapin is "eating the dogfood" as it were, using the same transparent platform as everyone else to get issues in to the system where they can be tracked and everyone aware of what is going on.

A lot of times if it goes through this transparent platform, doesn't mean it will get fixed. There are many "issues" that are acknowledged and remain that way. Hopefully by having Chapin report it, it will get fixed. Maybe Mr. Spencer should report more items.

Ok, I understand the need to have the issue be known among the citizens and I am all for transparency however, how much longer does it take for a pothole to be filled if its posted on here rather than the Director telling whomever fills these holes to just fill it? Then it wouldn't be an issue, the citizens wouldn't know it ever was an issue and the very thought of that pothole wouldn't travel past the ears of who should take care of it. Why add more steps? Isn't this app supposed to streamline the work needed to be done? Instead of worrying about this hole, maybe another crisis could be averted. Just saying
