House has been vacant for several months ( the owner passed away) and ever since, people have been breaking in and coming and going as they please! Now a video camera has been mounted to chimney pointing down the street! Not sure what is going on over there, but can't be good if they need a security camera! Please help our neighborhood!!!!

There is an open case on this house with Vallejo Police Dept - I posted this on our NextDoor network last week. Please call anytime you see problems at this house - here's the info VPD gave me:
Thank you for your email. Code Enforcement Officer David Sidie opened a code enforcement case on this property last week for violating Section 7.54 of the city ordinance. You may reference case number CE15-2339. If you would like an update on the status of this property, you may contact Officer Sidie at david.sidie@cityofvallejo.net. Please note that Code Enforcement may only address that the property is vacant, unsecured, and that the deteroriating state of the exterior of the property, as well as the maintenance of the property is left in such a manner as to constitute a public nuisance, including blight and public safety issues. Officer Sidie issued the is scheduled to reinspect this property next month.
As you stated in your email, both the City Attorney’s Neighborhood Law Program (NLP) and the police department’s Community Services Section (CSS) are already aware of the issues at this property and have been communicating with Code Enforcement. Our neighbors actually confronted the squatters that kept getting into a vacant house here and when they tried to say they belonged in the neighborhood they were told, "no you don't". They got scared and took off. They continued to try to come back, but the entire block kept look out and kept running them off. Used flash lights at night and yelling at them that we called the cops again. Yelling that their drugs and belongings have been removed as well. Sometimes we just have to take back our own neighborhoods...
