Thanks for your help. Sorry about the incorrect info, I based it what my neighbors have told me about the house but the sheriff sale info might have been confused with the house next door (2671 Webb)- looks like that one was sold March 2012 for $30,000. So I'm not sure how this works, if 2669 wasn't sold at sheriff sale and is still bank owned, does that mean it is more difficult to get these people out? Are they still considered squatters? The sewage filled basement has to be a public health issue right?

The 2-year old boys name is Sean and he is a sweet kid. Always outside in the middle of the street on his little bike, sometimes they supervise him, sometimes they do not. I'd rather not be responsible for getting a child taken away. I think his grandmother mostly watches him, she is a very loud and aggressive woman. It's a shame, he has no chance at a good future.

Just put in requests for shutoff to PECO and PWD. Takes about 1-2 weeks for them to confirm the status of the utilities and to schedule a tech visit. This only works though if they're frequently late on the bill. If they have a perfect payment record (especially with PECO), then PECO has no motivation to shut them off unless you fake being the property owner call them and tell them you need a shutoff so you can demo the house (don't laugh that's worked before)

L&I INSPECTOR VISITED PROPERTY:

I just spoke with Inspector Jones who was out at 2669 Webb today. She observed a woman spraying a little child with a hose, which of course is an issue since it is our understanding that there is no active water. When the woman saw the inspector approach, she went in the house and refused to answer. The inspector also went to the properties that surround it since she wants to check their basement to look at the sewage. She was unsuccessful, but will return. If you have a contact person in one of those homes, please let me know so that I can pass on to Inspector Jones.

That's great thanks. Now does it mean that the Inspector can keep going back and as long as they don't let her in she can't confirm and do anything about the sewage? I can't see them allowing her inside to take a look, at least willingly. I can look into the 2 surrounding houses- I believe 2671 is abandoned though.

This house was raided last night by about 20 undercover cops. Does anyone have any info on this?

UPDATE: No real changes here. Water/gas/electric is still on- they have an a/c unit running and on hot days have a kids pool on the sidewalk all day. Still a lot of traffic with cars stopping outside the house all day- presumably buying drugs.
