It is now almost summer of 2016, still nothing has been done to resolve this issue. There is still no signage warning drivers of the crosswalks, nor is there any road marking for the crosswalks. People are still parking their cars blocking the crosswalks, even the Canada Post delivery people are parking at the mailboxes blocking access to the crosswalks.

There are signs installed and crosswalks are painted according to Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD); no alterations will be made to this site.

So why is the crossing at Lakeshore painted and 129 ave is not? This is a much busier crossing than Lakeshore and kids use this all the time to get to Maude Clifford.

This crossing was done last year by thermoplastic, which is very durable and will last for several years. Other crossings that are not as high in traffic areas are still being painted every two years, as per MUTCD.

You are talking about a completly different road then we are. There is,nor has there ever been any markings or signage on the crosswalks coming out from Maude Clifford School on 129 ave. The most used one is the one coming out onto 129 ave right behind the school gymnasium where the mailboxes are. Busses stop there, people stop there to check their mail or pick up their kids. It is extremely conjested in the afternoons. without any proper road markings or signage someone us going to get run over one of these days. Why is it that the path across coninues out to Lakeshore drive where there is road markings and signage for the crosswalk,but not on 129 ave where the school path comes out to? Fix this before someone gets run over. See the pic enclosed.

Obviously you are talking about another street entirely, since there is no road or sign markings at this crosswalk on 129 ave nor has there ever been any. See the enclosed picture. This is the crossing coming out from the school itself, not the one on Lakeshore drive which is signed and painted. I guess the higher tax bracket streets get better treatment.

Our apologies, I was indeed commenting on a different crosswalk that was closer to the address in this report on 129ave.
The crosswalk you are talking about isn't currently a crosswalk since this is determined to be a low traffic volume area.
I have assigned this issue to Engineering so they are aware of your request to have a crosswalk installed and they can evaluate this further.

Low traffic? You need to put up a camera for a few days to see how congested it can get at that crossing. It still doesn't answer one of my questions, why does the crossing on Lakeshore drive that is the continuation of this pathway have crosswalk markings and sigange yet the one coming out from school does not?

Thank you for your comment, the signs department has advised that a crosswalk connecting the trail to south sidewalk will be implemented this year.
