If I had to hazard a guess I would say there is a timing issue and priority repeatedly keeps getting given to pedestrian movement.

This is still a big issue. They should not shorten the light for pedestrians or cross-traffic on Heath Street. They just need to have Yonge Street traffic moving for longer than 25 seconds and then stopped for a full minute! Please call 311 to raise this concern if you are affected by this light. More people that call, the sooner this might be resolved.

Agreed that traffic is materially worse on Yonge southbound. It looks like there has been a change to the cycles at the traffic light at Heath. There is one cycle with a green for westbound cars on Heath. And then a green for eastbound cars on Heath. The westbound cycle has hardly any cars going through.

As of this yesterday afternoon, the light seems to have returned to the previous set up - East/West at the same time and much more time for North/South traffic. No more Southbound backup to Davisville in the morning.
