I think more money has been spent installing fences to keep people from crossing than it would have cost to repair it. As far as I can tell, the bridge simply has some wooden boards that need replacing, but has been out of service since Hurricane Irene -- six full months ago.
We have children and love to use this path. However, it is dangerous and time it was fixed! Surely public officials will appreciate that our tax dollars are apportioned for fixing up hazards.
Please fix this bridge! It is unbelievable that a couple of fences were installed instead of fixing the bridge that would probably take around the same effort... It has been damaged for long now!

Why all the fences instead of repairs?
