This tree was inspected. The broken off section poses no immediate danger. This section recently broke off and was fully alive prior to incurring this storm damage. The remaining wood it not leaning or decaying enough to present an imminent threat. Wild life is utilizing the stub for nesting. Removal of this lead will open a wound at the main bifurcation of the trunk which will lead to quicker decaying of the tree/failure. For now, the stub should remain and be dealt with once the pruning cycle circles back around.
