We cannot be pedestrian friendly with large vehicles parked in our crosswalks. The State law prohibits parking within 20 ft of a crosswalk. I have called 911 three times in the last month without any action.
What is AnnArbor's position on this issue? I do not see any attempt to enforce the State law.
Thank you for contacting us about this parking issue. Because parking complaints are time sensitive, please contact us by phone at 734.994.2911, especially on weekends. This will allow us to dispatch an officer to investigate quickly.
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. This issue has either been resolved by City staff or will be resolved as part of a future improvement project, or it has been determined that the issue is the responsibility of another agency and that agency has been notified. Please see the comments above for possible further explanation.
Residents should only call 911 for emergencies and life threatening issues, not for parking enforcement. Parking issues should be reported by calling the Ann Arbor Police Department at 734.994.2911.
