Description

This really should cover the -- Whole City of GP -- but today I am absolutely appalled at the filth here.
The Log Hauling Trucks coming out of Canfor at the lights on 84th from the mill and even going into the mill from the log haul road, leave an absolutely muddy, gravelly mess on the roads and on the meridans. WE should not have to drive through this mess in the middle of the city. Don't say the money is tight, darn well raise the taxes on all these trucking businesses/companys so it covers the constant clean up after them.

Coming into Grande Prairie from all 4 directions this city is filthy. Clean the meridans more than once ( or not at all ) once a week, clean the main streets. Anyone coming to visit this city I am sure is disgusted with how dirty this city is and always has been.

No excuse to say: It is a farming community, logging community, oil/gas community. That is all ridiculous excuses. Can the city council not take --- more pride --- in keeping this city clean, rather than finding unnecessary things to do. The downtown all of it is filthy, main streets, back alleys.

Again, the trails systems are great, new sidewalks are great, but the curbs for wheelchair, strollers, bikes, are a mess, they are always filled with mud and water, why bother having them if one cannot go up and down them without getting dirty. IF the Mayor was to go for a walk on some of the trails he would actually see what the heck is going on. City council also.

Hoping that maybe one day this city will become a place we can tell our friends and family to come visit how nice it is here. I am embarrassed when company comes and they see the dirtiness here.

A picture to show is not needed, drive through the city and take a look. Not hard to miss.
