Bill, does this mean now that I or we have to report this type of issue directly to the police? I wasn't sure if it was public or private... as its kinda on the school property and also must be realy close to the green space off of Starr farm Road. Tonight i was walking and checked it out again and there is even a choice four letter word ... Who owns the building and then is this not a code enforcement? just trying to find out how we can get rid of that trashy looking mess. thanks

A month later and it still looks so awful....... like NYC or some place. This is where kids and parents play at, see it...... the longer it is allowed the more the kids will think its fine. and that it might just be the fad to paint all over everything. Thanks

The profanity was covered in early September by the Graffiti removal team. The attached photo was taken within a few days of the initial report.

We did not have permission from the property owner or know what their intention was for building maintenance at that time. Since then, the remaining work was scheduled for this week, depending on the weather. It should be completely resolved within a few days now.

This was painted over.

The answer is, only if you are the owner of the property and are the victim of the vandalism.

I assume you were asking because you received an automated response with a link to the Burlington Police on line crime reporting web site.

We set an automated response for anyone reporting graffiti on SeeClickFix. That automated e-mail response lets people know that if they are the victim of the graffiti, they should click on the link embedded in the message which takes you to the BPD web site for on-line reporting to them.

In this case, you were a concerned citizen, (and we thank you) and not the victim of the crime.
