Description
Please change the turn arrow to a flashing red or yellow vs. solid red like it was previously turning onto 440 east from Hillsboro east. The traffic on Hillsboro west is always light allowing for cars to safely turn onto 440 east. The traffic waiting to turn backs up significantly at different parts of the day. I am not sure why it was changed to begin with. This will improve the traffic flow and not impact safety at all. Thank you

I believe this red light is a great idea, and do not have any issues with it.

There is no reason to continue turning left after light has turned red. If you have to speed or run a red light, you are willingly breaking the law. A solution to that would be to extend the timer for longer. This would allow for all turning traffic to continue through without incident.
Also, I work near this intersection, and see accidents on a regular basis.
It is hard to stop all accidents from happening, but by limiting how much of the traffic has to cross the path of oncoming cars by the use of traffic signals, we can help minimize these occurrences.
With the increasing number of vehicles on the road everyday, we have to put in place more cautionary measures to protect the people from there own people. Not obeying traffic laws is not an option, and should be taken very seriously.
