It's been this way all year, all hours of the day and night. So loud you can't hear somebody in the same room as you in your own house. Modified to sound like gunshots. Bunch of antisocial wanna be fast and furious cosplayers. There are laws about how loud your vehicle can be, they just aren't enforced. When I move and take my tax dollars with me, this will be reason #1 by far.

I heard that myself last night, was insane. Like bombs or M-80's going off. Apparently everyone saw it and heard it except the police...as usual.

The City of Bridgeport officials announced the continuation of a speed hump pilot program designed to curb unsafe travel speeds throughout the community. Residents are advised to express traffic safety concerns and request a speed hump at specific locations by contacting their City Council member or to call Bridgeport Police Department Clerk at 203-581-5121 to document their request.

Thanks, while something is better than nothing on the speeding issue, ultimately the ones that want to race will just go to the streets that don't have the bumps. Further it will do next to nothing on the noise. Much of the time the people with the modified exhausts are parked in one spot just revving, or slow cruising with their obnoxious engine gunshot sounds (I've watched them do this right in front of cops who do nothing about it), doing donuts in parking lots, etc. Speed bumps aren't going to do a thing on the noise.

This is my first comment on this sight I live on queen St. For three and half years this street has been noisy. What's going on here I see cops but the noise continue everyday. As I post this their cars speeding, motorcycles loud, loud music on cars, backfire on cars. It's like they don't care if anyone complains. This should be looked into. This is the start of my complaint. DP

Concerned Citizen, you should open a new complaint! I’m not sure if they check comments on older complaints. Also, email the mayor’s office your complaint as well: mayor@bridgeportct.gov. If we all continue to speak up, they can’t ignore us all forever. Here’s hoping some change comes!

It's not just the speed, it's the deafening, intentional NOISE. They can, and often do, rev their absurdly loud gunshot sound engines while going super slow.
