Description
My neighbor said he saw a City truck earlier today with trash cans on it, but I did NOT get a trash can. I'm still waiting for my replacement trash can, after filing a complaint 2 weeks ago. It was scheduled to be delivered today.
Did they get their wires crossed, and forget my address? Hopefully they will come back this way and leave one for me. Thanks.

My original complaint, word for word: "My trash can got eaten by the truck - it had been damaged previously, but today it disappeared into the truck completely"
I don't know what it takes to simply have a can replaced. This is nuts.

After speaking with someone at the City just now, I realize what happened here. It's like the old "telephone game" - the folks who are actually doing the work (the drivers) are not getting the correct information. They were assuming they had to replace one can for another - so didn't leave the new can when my old one wasn't out at the curb. Problem is - there IS NO old can - the garbage truck driver took it on the 8th.
I am confident that we cleared it up now, and I should have a new can soon. I hope, ha.
