You see this sort of thing all the time in New Haven, from all city Depts. Police included. There is an amount of disrespect for the citizens and the city itself. This comes from the top down. Poor training, poor or no supervision, And there seems to be no responsibility on any ones part.

I agree with Res - training is needed to educate workers they are representing the City and should be setting an example. Only when the Quality of Life issues are addressed will people feel more positive about our own City.

" Quality of Life Laws " have never been a priority in New Haven. Even though It's been proven in city after city when enforced, there is a general decline in the crime rate. Big things come from small things. But that gets back to leadership and training.

yes truck number is 66 . I asked the driver to please move truck out of cross walk and he looked at me like I was nuts and kept walking .

We take parking violations very seriously and issue tickets to vehicles in violation when we are able to do so. This includes city vehicles. In these particular instances involving city vehicles, we make a point to follow up with the department, to make sure they are aware of the issue, whether or not a ticket has been issued.
