If you have better luck getting the police to enforce parking laws in this area GO FOR IT! I live near the Oakwood / Tarboro intersection and there is always a problem with parking up and down the streets here and forget about the "yield" or speed limit signs that are posted as they are only a suggestion. Things do get better once the kids head home for the summer but come fall watch out.

Per Raleigh Police, Officer Williams made contact with St. Augustine University and asked their Chief of Police, Chief Boykin, to make the students and faculty aware of the complaint concerning the no parking areas. We were advised that he is sending out a campus wide notice to all university members. In addition, the beat officers and the Community Police Officers have been asked to increase enforcement for any parking violations.
