City of Shawnee PLUS

We’ve sent multiple request for The Social to turn their music down, yet night after night Shawnee does nothing about this issue.
Please, help correct this. We want quiet neighborhoods. This bar doesn’t generate enough money for the city anyway, they don’t donate or help the community.

Time to to hold them accountable for breaking the rules & shut it down.

Constantly vehicles in various states of disrepair and junk in the driveway visiable from the street. East side of the garage facia/gutters is completely rotted away. The whole house is an eyesore.

I'm curious if the new owners of this business consulted with the city on their signage and also the new flashing LED lights that wrap the entire building. I think this would be code violation and a possible permit violation The signage on the building is fine, but the freestanding sign and new LED flashing strip lights are hideous and obnoxious

Front landscape way below par, front trip overgrown and encroching on side walk. Back steps rotting with now handrail. Paint on hous peeling. Yard and grass bad shape.

No respect for no solicitation sticker on door panel

there has been a car parked on the street with a flat tire for months.

The current owners have build a 1 bedroom, 1 bath with kitchen and separate entry - It's an apartment. They are currently renting it. This is zoned for single housing.

Another portion of the retaining wall the City of Shawnee installed as part of the Quivira Rd Rehabilitation has collapsed. Very poor engineer design and installation.

2 TVs parked at residence for over 30 days. One in drive in front of house. Code 10.20.50

Looks like area all around pond is not being taken care of. Pizza Street is having no luck in getting the Developer and/or the property management company to maintain these grounds. Looks terrible viewing from street

The loud music coming from the Roxy is ridiculous. They have a special permit that allows them to have live entertainment after the acceptable hours where the rest of us would get cited for violating the noise ordnance. The permit is supposed to be revisited if the sound becomes an issue, which many of us on our block have reported for months. The shutdown from Covid gave us a break from the noise but now it’s back and much worse. They had months to improve their sound proofing and find a way to operate their business without being a nuisance to the neighbors, but they obviously do not take the city ordinances serious. Our phone calls to report noise complaints are not working, something needs done. We need our sleep, we need our windows to not be rattling from the music until 1am.
